RTH Metrics
The default page you see after logging in is the RTH metrics page. This page examines 5 RTH metrics:
- Short-Stay Patients - Returns to Hospital within 30 days of entry to facility from an ACH
- Short-Stay Patients - Outpatient emergency department visits within 30 days of entry to facility from an ACH
- Long-Stay Patients – Hospitalizations per 1000 days of care
- Long-Stay Patients – Emergency department visits per 1000 days of care
- Long-Stay Patients – Admits to a hospital per 1000 Long-Term Patient Months
Scorecards
Each of these metrics is highlighted in a 'scorecard' atop all RTH metric pages. The scorecard displays the metric's name and value, as well a line graph representing an 18-month lookback of the given location's performance for that metric.
By default, the graph data shows rolling 12-month averages for each data point. You can press the buttonss above each graph to toggle between rolling 12-month or actual month-over-month data.
Above each graph is a button to enlarge the data. Pressing this button will display a popup with a more detailed graph and a table of its underlying data (metrics and dates).
You can also export and download the data comprising each of the scorecard metrics by using the Metric Inspector:
Metric Inspector
This feature is available for the five 'scorecard' metrics atop all RTH metric pages (eventually it will be available for all page metrics).
Press on any scorecard value to display the Metric Inspector sidebar on the right side of your screen. This sidebar explains how the metric is calculated and which filters are currently being applied. It also allows you to download its underlying data in CSV format.
Summary Data Table
The scorecard metrics are summaries of patient, physician and facility data. Below the scorecards you will find a table for drilling down into each of these component parts.
You can toggle between viewing a table summarizing Divisions, Regions, Facilities, Physicians, or even Patients. This allows you to compare any location or personnel data you may access.
