Residents with active orders for dialysis treatment are included in this audit.

Business Rules

Tasks:

  1. Dialysis Days - Physician’s order includes Dialysis days (Q801)

    1. Location in PCC:

      1. Orders

    2. Business Rule:

      1. IF a resident has an active order for dialysis treatment,
        THEN there must be an order that identifies the days of the week the resident is scheduled for dialysis treatment

      2. If the order for dialysis contains the following: and means of transportation, then Yes.  Otherwise, No.

    3. Due Date:

      1. Within 24 Hours of the order date

    4. Is classified as missed on the report:

      1. N/A

    5. Is no longer relevant to the report:

      1. If the dialysis order is no longer active

  2. Dialysis Location- Physician’s order includes location of dialysis treatment (Q816)

    1. Location in PCC:

    2. Business Rule:

      1. IF a resident has an active order for dialysis treatment,
        AND the resident is receiving their dialysis outside the facility,
        THEN there must be an order that identifies the location of their dialysis treatment, including the address

      2. IF a resident has an active order for dialysis treatment,
        AND the resident is receiving their dialysis in house at the facility,
        THEN there must be an order that identifies the resident is receiving their dialysis treatment in house.
